First Visit
"First visit by first birthday" sums it up.!!!
Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry,
recommends that your child visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday.
During this visit, we will help identify any signs of oral disease and develop
an oral health care program based on your child's individual needs. Early
examination and preventive care will help your child build a lifetime of good
dental habits.

PEDIATRIC SMILES, the most important reason is PREVENTION of
dental problems. In fact, as soon as teeth appear in the mouth, decay can
occur. One of the risk factors for early childhood decay (also called baby
bottle tooth decay) is frequent and prolonged exposure of baby teeth to
liquids containing sugar, including milk, breast milk, formula, and fruit
juices during naps or at night time. Children with cavities on their baby
teeth are at a greater risk of having cavities on their permanent teeth.

Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and
their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less
to-do concerning the visit, the better.
